Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State have had their tuition fees reduced by 25% by governor Seyi Makinde.

Governor Makinde in a routine visit to the students on Monday, June 1, announced that the state has secured the sole ownership of the institution and will ensure all striking actions cease in the school.

We visited the LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, this afternoon. I assured the students that now that we have secured sole ownership, the university would no longer experience incessant strikes. I also announced a reduction of school fees for all students by 25%. pic.twitter.com/zmobcQsVCm

The governor also commissioned an High Dependency Unit (HDU) at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.

The HDU is expected to provide secondary healthcare services for individuals who need more extensive care, governor Makinde disclosed in a tweet this evening.

This is what they call Governor not some set of thiefnubus that collect tax without effecting it. God bless you Sir.

Show me a better governor in the South/West who cares more about the youths and students….APC rules the rest except OYO

Wow. This governor is not a typical Nigerian governor. He is from another planet. Thanks sir 🙌🙌🙌

Reduction of school fees at a trying time like this is an examplary leadership style, worthy of emulation. If we give GSM the national mandate to lead Nigeria, no doubt, he will transform this country. But it's the turn of the Igbos!

Reducing school fees in such a trying time like this is the best any government can do to his people!
GSM, my governor, you are doing well SIR!

Thank you @seyiamakinde you're indeed a peoples Governor. Your understanding of the current economic hardship and resolved to help cushion it by tuition reduction is a lofty one. God bless you real good my governor.

Gov. Seyi Makinde, it's admirable how u are governing ur people well, it's shows u are a man of integrity which a lot of politicians lack; I pray u continue the good job & don't change later on. Furthermore a job well-done in reducing the tuition fees in lautech by 25%; Kudos.
