Pastor Enoch Adeboye was born on 2 March 1942 in the town of Ifewara, Osun State, Nigeria.

Enoch Adeboye and Foluke came to the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973.
During that time, the church was overseen by pastor Josiah Oluwafemi Akindayomi.

He became born-again Christian on 29 July 1973 and decided to dedicate his life to God by coming to be actively involved with the church activities.
However, he was ordained as a pastor in 1975 Enoch Adeboye by Akindayomi.
At first, Enoch’s duty at the church was to convert Akindayomi’s preachings from the priest’s native language Yoruba into English.
Eventually, he started arranging Holy bible Study conferences, revivals, outreaches and the evangelistic programs referred to as the Congress which proved to be extremely effective.
